Description
Balaclava "Anjo"
Anjo fits close from the crown to the base of the neck. Look at the knit: the open honeycomb section sits over the mouth and nose, while denser fabric covers the head, cheeks and neck. The segmented ribs at the temples and crown give it that distinct pattern.
Breathable knit, shaped around the face
The nose has its own shape, with room for the bridge rather than a flat strip pulled straight across it. The mesh section below uses a more open stitch than the surrounding fabric. That is where the breathing area sits; line it up with your mouth when you put Anjo on.
The continuous eye opening has a finished edge. Set it below your eyebrows, then smooth the fabric over your head. The stretch knit follows the shape of the face and returns toward its original shape after being stretched. It should sit close without pulling the opening out of position.
Features
- Open honeycomb knit over the mouth and nose for airflow.
- Three-dimensional nose shape and one continuous eye opening.
- Segmented ribbed zones across the crown and temples.
- Denser knit coverage around the head, cheeks and neck to help retain warmth.
- Elastic stretch and recovery, with a long flared hem and extended rear neck coverage.
- Nylon, spandex and cotton. Available in Black, Gray and White.
Longer at the neck
The lower edge spreads out over the base of the neck, with extra length at the back. Tuck it flat inside your jacket collar before you zip up. That overlap covers the gap a short face covering leaves above the jacket, and keeps excess fabric from bunching under your chin.
Black keeps the contrast quiet. Gray brings out the dark temple ribs, and White makes the knit pattern more visible. Wear it with a plain shell or zip jacket; there is already plenty of detail around the face.

Look at the knit
The honeycomb mouth, the ribs around the temples, the lines running down the cheeks. Anjo gets its shape from changes in the knit.
It sits close through the head and opens out at the neck. With a black jacket, the Gray version makes those darker ribs easy to see. The rest of the outfit can stay simple.

Four details in the knit

Room at the nose
The nose is shaped into the front of the balaclava. Just below it, the open honeycomb knit sits over the mouth. The denser cheek fabric meets that mesh without a separate hanging flap.
Place the bridge first, then center the mouth section. If you keep pulling the top edge down to cover your nose, readjust the crown instead. The eye opening should stay clear.

Down into the collar
The long lower section covers the neck all the way around. At the back, the skirt extends past the base of the head so it can overlap with your jacket.
Lay it flat before closing the zip. A folded edge can create a lump beneath your chin; spreading the hem inside the collar keeps that area more comfortable when you turn your head.
BEFORE
YOU PICK.
How should I adjust it?
Pull it over your head, place the shaped nose over the bridge, then center the eye opening and mouth mesh. Smooth the crown and tuck the lower edge inside your collar. Turn your head before zipping up to check that the fabric sits comfortably.
Does it cover the back of the neck?
Yes. The rear extends below the base of the head, and the flared hem spreads around the neck. Wear that extra length inside your jacket collar for continuous coverage.
How does Anjo fit?
The stretch knit sits close around the head and face. Anjo comes in one fit. Position the nose and eye opening before you tuck the lower edge into your collar.
Can I wear glasses with it?
The eye area is open, so glasses sit over the fabric at the sides. Position the edge below your eyes and check that your frames sit comfortably. Fit and fogging depend on your frames, adjustment and conditions.
