Y2k White Jeans "Kasama" - Near-White, Straight Leg, Distressed

The Kasama is the straight-leg version of pale denim taken seriously. The wash goes almost to white - a cream tone with very little blue left - and the distressing adds holes and fraying across the leg surface. Floor-length silhouette, straight from hip to hem, mid-rise waist. Slight stretch, zipper fly. The Kasama is the destroyed side of light-wash Y2K: same palette as washed denim, different surface condition.

Near-White

The wash on the Kasama goes further than light - it's near-white, a cream tone that retains minimal denim color. Closer in palette to bleached cotton than conventional jeans. The wash is even across the whole garment; the distressing sits on top of that pale base, creating contrast through texture rather than color. Against dark tops, the lightness reads graphic. Styled monochrome, the holes do the work.

The Distressing

The holes on the Kasama aren't subtle. Placed across the thighs and sized to read from a distance, they sit on the near-white base as deliberate destruction rather than wear. Frayed edges extend slightly from each opening, adding texture to the surface. This isn't the look of denim that's been through things - it's the look of denim that was made this way on purpose.
